the best comfort food latin breakfast in the city! and definitely the best coffee to complement it. the eggs are always cooked to perfection and come with a flavourful chilero (my favourite part!). not to mention it’s run by the most lovely people! if you ever find yourself out in the oakwood village, or are just craving some authentic nicaraguan food/treats/coffee, make sure you check this spot out :)

I had the traditional breakfast today and it hit the spot. The coffee is amazing. Since the coffee was Nicaraguan I had it black and that's all you need for it.

TBH THIS PLACE IS A GEM! In today’s time of overhyped and overpriced beverages it’s so hard to find genuinely good place ~ to my surprise this cute place is a treasure in the oakwood area! And the barista is super friendly. Salted caramel latte is must try! definitely coming back again.

This is the go to place in the neighbourhood. The atmosphere is so pleasant and colourful. The food is delicious, especially the home made breakfast. Yonder, Rebecca, Cynthia and Kevin are friendly and can remember your order with a quick smile and a hello. When you come in, it’s like you’re family. Come to Nicaroma and enjoy home away from home!

Nicaroma Cafe is one of my favourite cafés in the GTA. I’m so glad I found this gem which is located in the best spot ever. There’s street and side parking located nearby as well as accessible by bus, bike or walking. The neighbourhood is lively without being too busy or chaotic. You can see it’s a family friendly neighborhood and so nicely to travel around in the summer. Once you walk in to Nicaroma Café, you automatically greeted by the best smelling coffee and food your senses will ever take in. It’s such a beautiful space to enjoy a nice your breakfast where there’s beautiful artwork all around and really great music. There’s a lot of space to enjoy your food there, and I find it’s a great space to get work done while you look out the windows or if you’re meeting up with someone. My favourite thing to order is the coco loco mocha and they have a really good Nicaraguan cake that just melts in your mouth! I can’t wait to try their traditional breakfast and their cold drinks. The food is authentic and you can really tell the food is made with love and care.

The best coffee beans in the neighbourhood - from small women-led farms in Somotillo, Nicaragua. Excellent pastelitos de pollo with peas and red bell pepper are very fresh and tasty! Great price.

Stumbled on Nicaroma by chance and am happy I did. Never had Nicaraguan food before, so I tried the pork Nacatamales. It was a new taste and unusual textures I've not had before, really different and very good. Corn masa filled with tomato and potato and a few good chunks of tender pork. Asked for hot sauce and was offered the onions and vinegar pickled condiment, which was delicious and spicy, highly recommend. I didn't get a beverage but was intrigued by the Jamaican hibiscus juice and I will have to go back to try it. There are lots of coffee drinks, too. Pleasant service and good prices. Thank you, Nicaroma Cafe!
